The BCCI might have relocated the highly popular Indian Premier League to South Africa due for this year, but a large section of people would have liked to watch the Twenty20 event at home stadia, reveals a survey.

According to a sample survey, conducted by the NDTV, 71 percent people wanted that second edition of the cricket tournament should have been staged in India, while only 29 percent feels it does not matter where it is held.

Besides, 59 percent of respondents of the survey disagree with BCCI's decision to stage the tournament on any foreign soil, while only 26 percent appreciate the move.

The BCCI earlier decided to shift the tournament in view of security concerns as IPL dates coincided with general elections.
