Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the first day-night One-day-international at Dubai stadium on Friday.

Sri Lanka's batting collapsed for 131 in 40.3 overs on a bowler-friendly track, which was well-exploited by Shahid Afridi, who claimed 3 for 27, and Saeed Ajmal, 2-21.

Dinesh Chandimal's 28 was the top score in Sri Lanka's card.

In reply, Pakistan chased down the target in 21.5 overs on the back of fine knocks from Imran Farhat (50) and Younis Khan (56 not out).

Pakistan lead the five-match series 1-0.

Brief Score: Sri Lanka 131 all out in 40.3 overs (Dinesh Chandimal 28, Upul Tharanga 25, Mahela Jayawardene 24; Shahid Afridi 3 for 27, Saeed Ajmal 2 for 21, Mohammad Hafeez 2 for 24) v Pakistan 132 for 2 in 21.5 overs (Younis Khan 56*, Imran Farhat 50; Suranga Lakmal 2 for 16).
