India’s limited overs captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be playing under pacer Varun Aaron’s captaincy for Jharkhand in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Jharkhand are placed in Group B and will play their opening match against Jammu & Kashmir on December 10, in Bangalore.
As per reports, Dhoni was offered the captaincy in the 50-over format but the World Cup winning captain preferred to play as a normal player.
Dhoni’s last appearance for Jharkhand, in any format (the T20), was in April 2007, soon after the disastrous World Cup.
