India's batting superstar and RCB captain was full of praise for AB de Villiers, who guided his team to a fighting victory over Gujarat Lions and advance into the final of IPL 9.

Appreciating AB’s whirlwind knock of 79 not out from 47 balls, Kohli said that the Proteas batsman was the 'best in the world'.

Kohli, who was dismissed for a duck in the qualifier against Gujarat, has been in the form of his life, scoring as many as four hundreds in the ongoing IPL season.

"Unbelievable, can't believe I'm the winning captain," Kohli said after the match.

"That should end a lot of debates as to who is the best going around. No question about it.

"Come the big game, the big man stands up. I just bow down to him. That was probably one of the best knocks under pressure I've seen.

"So composed, taking Iqbal Abdulla along. He was really motivated to do it for the team.

"I'm really happy for him, I'm really happy for the whole team," Kohli said.

De Villiers not only bailed his team from 6-68 in the 10th over, but launched an amazing counter attack in the death overs to chase Gujarat’s 159-run target with 10 balls to spare.
