Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has been fined $ 20,000 for his team's slow over-rate during the IPL match against Delhi Daredevils in New Delhi.
"Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has been fined after the team maintained a slow over rate during Thursday's DLF IPL match against Delhi Daredevils in Delhi," IPL said in a statement.
At the end of the match, Royal Challengers Bangalore were assessed to be two overs behind the required rate after allowances were taken into consideration.
Since it was his first offence of the season under the IPL's Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Kohli was fined $ 20,000.
