Virat Kohli's horror run with the bat continued as he fell for a golden duck for the second match in a row as Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered a nine-wicket thrashing at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2022 match at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday.

RCB were bundled out for a lowly 68 in 16.1 overs to register the sixth lowest total in the history of IPL. A ruthless SRH chased down the runs in just eight overs with Abhishek Sharma smashing 47 from 28 balls, while Kane Williamson was unbeaten on 16 as Rahul Tripathi (7) finished off the match in some style -- with a six off Harshal Patel over square leg.

Sunrisers registered their fifth win in a row, as they jumped to second place in the standings with 10 points from seven games, while RCB slipped to fourth with the same number of points from eight games.

Earlier, Marco Jansen (3/25 in 4 overs) and Thangarasu Natarajan (3/10 in 3 overs) rattled the RCB batting line-up with their superb bowling as none of their batters went past the 20-run mark.

Infact, Glenn Maxwell (12) and Suyash Prabhudessai (15) were the only two batters from RCB to score in double digits.

Jansen gave Sunrisers a dream start with the wickets of RCB captain Faf du Plessis (5), Virat Kohli (0) and Anuj Rawat (0) in his first over.

Thangarasu Natarajan also struck in the Powerplay when he got the dangerous Maxwell caught at mid-off.

Left-arm spinner Jagadeesha Suchith (2/12) made sure RCB were not able to make a comeback in the middle overs. Suchith had Prabhudessai stumped before he got Dinesh Karthik (7) caught down the leg-side by wicketkeeper Nicholas Pooran, after he missed the sweep shot, in the ninth over.

Umran Malik troubled the batters with his extra pace, as he took 1/13 in four overs, destroying Harshal Patel's stumps with a cracking delivery which moved away late to beat the right-hander.

Natarajan polished off the RCB tail with the wickets of Harshal Patel and Wanindu Hasaranga before Bhuvneshwar picked up the final wicket of Mohammed Siraj.
