Chennai Super Kings opening batsman Abhinav Mukund was ruled out of action for 10 days after he twisted his left ankle during a fielding practice session for IPL in Chennai on Saturday.
According to a posting on the team's website on Sunday, team physio Tommy Simsek and manager Russell Radhakrishnan were quoted saying that Mukund was given medical attention on the field and taken for a precautionary X-ray, which revealed he will be out of action for 10 days.
He injured himself during a practice session on Saturday evening.
The defending champions will to take on Mumbai Indians in the inaugural match of the fifth edition of the cash-rich tournament on April 4.
