Shaun Marsh helped Kings XI Punjab edge past the Rajasthan Royals in the Super Over after the match ended in a tie in the Indian Premier League in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, April 21.
It was the Royals's first defeat after five straight wins in IPL 8. Punjab ended its three match losing run.
Kings XI skipper Virender Sehwag credited local lad Axar Patel and Australian all-rounder Mitchell Johnson for the victory.
"It was a good game for us. And the credit should go to Mitchell and Axar," Sehwag said.
Chasing 192, Patel blasted a four off the last ball to take the game to the Super Over.
Marsh then cracked three boundaries for Kings Punjab to score 15/2 in the Super Over, before Johnson dismissed Royals star Shane Watson. James Faulkner was later run out.
"Today, luck favoured us. We need to focus on good cricket rather than depend on luck," Sehwag added.
"Glenn Maxwell's form is a concern for the team," Sehwag said.

Finch ruled out of IPL 8
And when it comes to luck, the Mumbai Indians are having a tough time with just one victory.
Mumbai Indians opener Aaron Finch has now been ruled out of IPL 8 following the hamstring injury he suffered in the game against the Rajasthan Royals last week.
Finch, who was assisted from the field, underwent surgery on his left hamstring and is expected to be out of action for 12 weeks.
"After returning to Australia injured from the IPL, Aaron had scans that confirmed a high grade hamstring injury," Cricket Australia Physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said. "Aaron was assessed by a surgeon who felt he would have a better outcome with surgery."
The 28-year-old Aussie big-hitter tweeted on Tuesday night that he was hospitalised for one night, but was optimistic that the surgery went well.
Finch played only three matches this season for Mumbai. He scored 5, 8 and 10 not out before hurting himself while taking a single during the game at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad.
