Skipper Vijay Zol continued his good form, slamming his second successive hundred of the series to give India a huge first innings lead in the second and final 'Youth Test' in Kurunegala, on Tuesday.

India, who resuming Day 2 on 70 for two, dominated with the bat before they declared their first innings at 393 for eight, having taken a big first-innings lead of 181 runs.

Zol led from the front with the bat, slamming 128, while Sanju Samson (70) and Shreyas Iyer (84) also continued their good run with fluent half-centuries.

Sri Lanka played out the six overs left in the day to reach 11 for no loss in their second essay.

Vijay ZolOvernight batsmen Zol and Samson looked in control right from the start.

Zol, who had hit 173 in the last match, punished the Sri Lankan bowlers yet again as he hit 16 boundaries and a six in his 204-ball knock.

The skipper was ably supported by Kerala youngster Samson as the duo stitched together a 160-run stand for the third wicket to take India past the Lankan first innings score of 212.

Samson, who hit 10 boundaries in his 122-ball knock, was dismissed by spinner Lakshan Jayasinghe in the 60th over of the innings.

The right-handed Iyer, who came in at the fall of Samson's wicket, too looked at ease as he joined hands with Zol to build a healthy lead.

The pair shared a 60-run stand before Zol was dismissed by left-arm pacer Binura Fernando. Coming in at number six, wicketkeeper Ankush Bains could only manage seven before spinner A K Tyronne had him caught.

Off-spinner Aamir Gani then made a quick 41 that included four boundaries and a six, in the process sharing a 98-run partnership with Iyer for the seventh wicket.

India lost three quick wickets -- Iyer, Kuldeep Yadav and Gani -- before declaring their first innings.

Hashan Dumindu (6) and Minod Bhanuka (5) were at the crease when the stumps were drawn.

Brief Scores:

Sri Lanka 1st innings: 212 all out

India 1st innings: 393 for eight in 101 overs (Vijay Zol 128, Shreyas Iyer 84; Priyamal Perera 2/24)
