Indian cricketers returned home on Sunday after a disastrous tour of England, where they lost the Test and ODI series and the one-off Twenty20 match.

The MS Dhoni-led team lost the four-match Test series 4-0 and the five-match ODI series 3-0.

It means that they have lost the Test top spot and also dropped to fifth position in the International Cricket Council (ICC)'s ODI ranking, a lowest position in the last three years.

The Indian team was also hit with injuries to a number of players including Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj Singh, Rohit Sharma and Harbhajan Singh.

Rahul Dravid, the only player to perform in both forms of the game, bid goodbye to his 15-year long ODI and Twenty20 career.
