India elect to field against England

India captain Rahul Dravid won the toss and elected to field against England in the Champions Trophy One-Day International the Sawai Mansingh stadium in Jaipur on Sunday.

Irfan Pathan, dropped from the last two matches in the Malaysia tri-series, returned to the team, which also comprised two spinners in Harbhajan Singh and Ramesh Powar.

Rudra Pratap Singh and Dinesh Mongia, the two who played in the last match in Kuala Lumpur, had to sit out.

England captain Andrew Flintoff returned to action after a three-month lay-off after surgery on his ankle and will bat at number 3.

The two teams are in Group 'A' with world champions Australia and the West Indies.

Teams:

India: Rahul Dravid (captain), Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, Ramesh Powar, Ajit Agarkar and Munaf Patel.

England: Andrew Flintoff (captain), Andrew Strauss, Ian Bell, Michael Yardy, Kevin Pietersen, Paul Collingwood, Chris Read, Jamie Dalrymple, James Anderson, Sajid Mahmood and Steve Harmison.

Umpires: Simon Taufel and Daryl Harper.

Third umpire: Billy Bowden.

Fourth umpire: Steve Bucknor.

Match referee: Jeff Crowe.
