# Ashwin's superb figures are the third best by an Indian spinner in World Cups.  Yuvraj Singh is the only Indian spinner to capture five wickets in an innings - 5 for 31 vs Ireland at Bangalore on March 6, 2011, followed by 4 for six vs Namibia at Pietermaritzburg on February 23, 2003.

# India have won all three World Cup matches by big margins in the present edition - by 76 runs vs Pakistan at Adelaide on Feb.15, by 130 runs vs South Africa at Melbourne on February 22 and by 9 wickets vs UAE at Perth on February 28.

# India have outclassed UAE in all three ODIs - by 71 runs at Sharjah on April 13, 1994; by 116 runs at Dambulla on July 16, 2004 and by 9 wickets at Perth on February 28, 2015.

# UAE (102) have posted their lowest World Cup total, surpassing the 136 vs England at Peshawar on February 18, 1996.

# UAE's aforesaid score is actually their lowest in ODIs - the previous lowest was 123 vs Sri Lanka at Dambulla on July 17, 2004.

# The above total is the lowest by any team against India in World Cups,outstripping the 109 by Sri Lnka at Johannesburg on March 10, 2003.

# UAE's 102 is the tenth lowest score by any team against India in ODIs.

# Shaiman Anwar (35) has finished as the highest scorer in UAE's innings. With 208 runs at an average of 69.33, including a century and a fifty, in three innings, he is the leading run-getter for UAE batsman in World Cups.
