When the arch-rivals India and Pakistan meet the cricket pundits use synonyms like crackerjack, smash hit, high-voltage, smash hit to describe the contest. But little do they know that it all falls flat. Because when these two cricket-crazy nations meet, the streets are deserted.

The commercial capital like Mumbai also resembles as if curfew is imposed.

As the streets wear a deserted look, the fans gather to watch the contest in large groups. Every run is cheered and there is plenty of music to support the fans enthusiasm.

Yet again, the Pakistani fans had to put off their celebration plans as there were deafening cheering noise form their neighboring country as India made it 6-0 against their traditional rivals.

Virat Kohli scored an imperious century to help India open their World Cup campaign with a 76-run victory over arch-rivals Pakistan in a Pool A match at the Adelaide Oval, on Sunday.
