The Indian team had a relaxed day in Adelaide with no practice on the agenda.
Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Axar Patel went out to the Rundle Mall for a bit of shopping on Wednesday. The trio then had lunch at Nandos.
All-rounder Stuart Binny was seen at a convenience store opposite the hotel, while coach Duncan Fletcher had lunch at an Italian restaurant, Parlamento.
Wearing a nice floppy hat, team Director Ravi Shastri and bowling coach Bharat Arun were seen walking down Bank Street.
Shastri was heading to a function at the Adelaide Oval, where the Indian team was to be feted.
At the Fan Zone, just outside the Oval, a combination of Indian origin fans gathered to honour their heroes. There was a combination of Indian style dances and Bollywood music played on the stage as the crowd waited for the team to arrive.
South Australia Premier Jay Weatherill welcomed the team.
All 16 players, including non-playing reserve Dhawal Kulkarni, were on stage. When the names of each player was called out, they raised their hands to massive cheers from the gathered crowd.
"We have been treated nicely by the people. We are hoping to do well at this historical ground," declared Dhoni on the stage as fans applauded him.
It was great atmosphere as the local Indian origin fans enjoyed watching their favourite cricketers and wished them well in a 20 minute event.
Pakistan will start practising for Sunday's big match against Indiafrom Thursday.
