Australia opener Matthew Hayden will be one of several players who will be rested during the triangular one-day series with Pakistan and West Indies, coach John Buchanan said on Thursday.
Hayden, 33, a member of the 2003 World Cup winning side, became the first batsman to score 1,000 Test runs in a calendar year for the fourth successive time last year.
"Matthew is no different to the majority. Everybody is a bit jaded," Buchanan told reporters in Sydney.
Australia completed a 3-0 series win over Pakistan on Wednesday after defeating New Zealand 2-0. The triangular series starts on January 14.
