East Zone medium pacer S S Paul claimed six for 45 to wreck a fragile Bangladesh Cricket Board XI and skittle them out for 142 on the second day of the Duleep Trophy cricket league match at the VCA Ground in Nagpur on Wednesday.

Following on with a 312-run deficit after East Zone declared their first innings at 454 for six, Bangladesh were once again in trouble losing eight wickets for a paltry 123 runs at the draw of stumps.

Opener Al Shahariar (33) and skipper Mohammad Ashraful (40) were the only batsmen to offer semblence of resistance in an otherwise pathetic batting display by the visitors.

Paul exploited the lively wicket, mixing some short stuff with full length deliveries.

Ashraful played some crisp shots but failed to convert a good start.

Earlier, East Zone, led by Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly's 170 (4x21, 4x6), added 98 runs to the overnight total before declarating their innings an hour before lunch.

Ganguly, who  was associated in the fifth wicket stand of 205 with Laxmi Ratan Shukla (123) yesterday, was involved in another century stand, adding 114 runs for the sixth wicket with S Sanyal (39 no).

Left arm spinner Razzak 3 for 131 toiled hard as East's batsmen went on a rampage.
