Former England coach Duncan Fletcher said that he is "keen" on taking over as the coach of New Zealand, following the exit of Andy Moles.

Fletcher, who works as an advisor with South Africa, has not coached full time since leaving England after the 2007 World Cup, The Dominion Post reported.

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) chief Justin Vaughan said that he would not disclose any candidates, but told Cricinfo "it's fair to say that there has been a lot of interest from around the world."

New Zealand is in need of a coach after Moles resigned following reports that senior players did not rate his ability very high.
