Dharamsala, Ranchi to host ODIs in England series

Ranchi will witness its favourite son, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, in India colours for the first time when it hosts a One-Day International during the England series, from November 2012 to January 2013.

Dharamsala, which hosted IPL matches the past two seasons will host an ODI for the first time in the same series while the newly-constructed stadium in Rajkot will also host a match.

The stadium in Pune where the Warriors will play its home matches this season will host a T20 International in the series, according to a statement from the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

Although the dates are yet to be confirmed, India will also play two Tests and a couple of T20 internationals against New Zealand in August and September.

From November to January, India will host England, for four Test matches, two T20 Internationals and five ODIs, followed by Australia, who will play four Tests.

The Tests against New Zealand will be at Hyderabad and Bangalore, while Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Nagpur will host the Tests against England.

The four Tests against Australia will be at Chennai, Delhi, Kanpur and Mohali.

Summarised itinerary:

New Zealand series: Aug-Sep 2012

Two Tests, at Hyderabad and Bengaluru; two T20 internationals, at Vizag and Chennai.

England Series: Nov 2012-Jan 2013

Four Tests, at Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Nagpur; two T20 internationals, at Pune and Mumbai; five ODIs, at Rajkot, Dharamsala, Ranchi, Mohali and Kochi.

Australia Series: Feb 2013-Mar 2013

Four Tests, at Chennai, Delhi, Kanpur and Mohali.
