0 Number of times Virat Kohli has played same eleven in two consecutive. He had a different team in all the 22 matches he has captained India in!

5 Number of times Alastair Cook got dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja in this series -- most he has fallen to a particular bowler in a series.

31 years 357 days – Alastair Cook’s age while completing 11,000 runs in Test cricket. He is the youngest to reach this landmark among all 10 batsmen. Cook wrested the record away from Sachin Tendulkar, who accomplished this feat at the age of 34 years 95 days.

4 Number of England players to have aggregated 1,000 Test runs in 2016. Moeen Ali joined the ranks with Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow and Alastair Cook. This is the second time four England batsmen have made 1,000 runs in Test matches in a calendar year. The earlier such instance was in 2006, with Kevin Pietersen, Paul Collingwood, Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook reaching the 1,000-run mark. Interestingly, on that occasion too England lost more Tests than they won in the year (5 wins and 6 losses) like 2016 (6 wins and 7 losses).

11 Number of Tests Joe Root has played against India. Also the number of Tests in which he has scored at least a fifty against India! No other player has a longer such streak against any opponent. Five batsmen have scored a fifty in nine consecutive Tests -- Neil Harvey (vs South Africa), John Edrich (vs Australia), Doug Walters (vs West Indies), Mahela Jayawardene (vs India) and Kumar Sangakkara (vs Pakistan).

15.38 Percent of Ravindra Jadeja’s wickets in Test cricket have been of opposition captains (16 out of a career-tally of 104).This is the highest percentage for an Indian bowler dismissing the opposition captain 10 times or more in a career. Narendra Hirwani is second with a percentage of 15.15 (10 out of 66).

52 Number of Tests taken by Virat Kohli to complete 50 catches. Among the Indians outfielders, only three- Eknath Solkar (26), VVS Laxman (42) and Rahul Dravid (43) have done this in fewer Tests than Kohli.
