'This picture was taken way back in the summer of 1988 when Mohammad Azharuddin had come to Edmonton (Canada) for a couple of days en route to India to visit his friends after a tour of the Caribbean,' writes Anil.
'We were all students at the University of Alberta and learned through an acquaintance that Azharuddin had been invited to an afternoon tea at a friend's house and decided to meet the legend,' added Anil.
'I am standing to the left of Azharuddin. He was truly a gentleman, extremely shy and barely spoke a few words. We could hardly spend a few minutes as he prepared to rush for another appointment to oblige some other waiting fans at his friends place. It has been almost 20 years since this picture was taken but memories like these are as fresh as if it happened only yesterday.'
