'Amrapali didn't gave us villas they announced after 2011 WC win'
Veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh has heaped praise on India's limited-overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni after he resigned as the brand ambassador of real estate group Amrapali over their failure to complete a project as promised to people.

Dhoni's decision to cut ties with Amrapali came days after the residents of a housing project took to social media, asking the skipper to disassociate himself with the brand.
Lashing out at Amrapali, Harbhajan revealed on micro blogging site Twitter that the builders did not provide the Indian cricketer with Villas as promised after the 2011 World Cup.
"Well done @msdhoni for dropping #Amarpali builders as brand ambassadorship..they didn't gave us VILLAS they announce after 2011 worldcup win," he tweeted.
"Atleast they should give them houses who paid...may be announcing a villa for us was a publicity stunt," said the 35-year-old off-spinner.
Last week, Dhoni offered his support to protesting Amrapali residents, saying promises made to the people should be met, irrespective of the problems being faced by the real estate group.
The first phase of project 'Sapphire', launched in 2009, at Noida Sector 45 was completed, but civil and electrical work in many towers is yet to be done.
