The Board of Control for Cricket in India president Anurag Thakur and secretary Ajay Shirke will be meeting members of the Supreme Court-appointed Justice R M Lodha panel in the capital on August 9 after being compelled to bring in the reforms due to a clear directive from the apex court.

A cricket website reported that a meeting has been requested by the BCCI as a lot of state association officials are yet to get a hang of the SC order although the panel is expected to help the parent body of Indian cricket in implementing the reforms.

It is expected that Thakur and Shirke will be accompanied by BCCI's lawyers.

The panel has already set the ball rolling as the Cricket Association of Bengal and Karnataka State Cricket Association's elections have been frozen as per the SC directive on July 18.

Similarly, the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) elections which were held on July 19 electing a sitting state government minister Imran Raza Ansari has been declared null and void.
