Shakib Al HasanBangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan completed the grand double of 2,000 runs and 100 wickets on home soil during his brief innings of 9 on Sunday, the fifth and final day of Fatullah Test against India.

He became only the seventh all-rounder in the world to score 2,000 runs and take 100 wickets in a particular country. Interestingly Shakib achieved both the milestones in the Fatullah Test. His wicket of Shikhar Dhawan on Day 3 was his 100th scalp in Bangladesh, and on Sunday he completed 2,000 runs.

What has been his contribution to Bangladesh cricket can be gauged from the fact that no other batsman has scored 2,000 runs for Bangladesh in Bangladesh and no other bowler has taken 100 wickets for Bangladesh in Bangladesh!

The list of exclusive seven in chronological order is as follows:

Player Country Mts Runs Bat Avg 100s Wkts Bowl Avg 5WI
Gary Sobers in West Indies 44 4075 66.8 14 107 34.12 1
Ian Botham in England 59 2969 34.92 8 226 27.54 17

Shakib Al Hasan in Bangladesh 28 2004 42.63 2 103 34.67 10

Shakib Al Hasan is the quickest to reach this landmark -- in just 28 Tests. Ian Botham held the previous record -- 35 Tests.

Jacques Kallis took the most number of Tests -- 49. Kapil Dev is the youngest to accomplish this feat, whereas Gary Sobers is the oldest to do so. Botham achieved the landmark in the shortest duration (from Test debut), whereas Sobers took the longest time.
