Australia captain Michael Clarke made a happy revelation on Twitter early Tuesday morning.

The ecstatic cricketer revealed that he and wife Kyly are expecting their first child.

“@KylyClarke and I are extremely ecstatic to announce we are expecting our first child, Can't wait to meet baby Clarke,” the batsman tweeted the news as a caption alongside a picture of them.

The couple has been married for three years and this is their first pregnancy.

Let’s hope this news spurs Clarke to lead the Aussies to an Ashes win in England.

Australia are looking to win their first away Ashes series in 14 years.

The Ashes series starts on Wednesday.
