Tendulkar gets 100th hundred. Congratulate him

Sachin Tendulkar has finally done it!

His hundred in the Asia Cup match against Bangladesh on Friday helped him complete a 'century of centuries'.

The landmark was achieved with a single on the leg side off Shakib Al Hassan, in the 44th over.

The veteran batsman took 138 balls to get his century, hitting 10 fours and a six on course.

He departed soon after, though, caught by wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim off Mashrafe Mortaza for 114. The 147-ball knock was studded with 12 fours and a six.

The next one took more than a year to come.

Tendulkar played 11 Tests and 13 ODIs -- a total of 34 innings -- in that period even as a billion-plus fans kept waiting in eager anticipation.

The moment has finally arrived.

The Master Blaster has achieved yet another milestone.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was among the first to congratulate Tendulkar.

"I join the nation in congratulating Tendulkar on his making history -- a hundred centuries. He has made India proud. Tendulkar's long career has been a triumph of class, character and courage. Wish him many more innings and feats to continue inspiring the youth," he said.
