Mandhana misses a full straight delivery and is caught plumb in front to be given out leg before wicket for nine.

Pratika Rawal walks in at No 3, needing a good knock to assure her place in the team.

She gets off the mark with a streaky boundary as the edge off Sana flies past the slip fielder and the fielder at short thirdman puts in a sloppy effort.

Sana revives Pakistan's hopes with a double blow in her first over. She gets Rawal caught behind as the right-hander plays away from the body but fails to connect and only manages a thin edge.

India opener Shafali Verma off to a smashing start with the bat. She smashes the first ball of the innings bowled by spinner Sadia Iqbal for a six over long-off.

She flicks the next ball for a single through midwicket for a single.

That run helps 22-year-old Shafali complete the landmark of 3000 runs in T20Is -- the youngest player to achieve the feat in women's T20 international.

Smriti Mandhana off to a shaky start as she is beaten on the outside edge first ball before taking a single to get off the mark.

Shafali picks another run on the leg side as nine runs come from the first over.

Deepti finishes off Pakistan innings. Tuba comes down but misses the heave over the leg side as wicketkeeper Ghosh completes an easy stumping.

She does well to keep out the last two balls.

Deepti Sharma initially failed to gather the ball cleanly but did well to recover in time and break the stumps.

Sana misses the flick and is struck in front to be given out leg before wicket as Deepti got the ball to turn sharply. She walks back in disbelief, perhaps not happy with the umpire's decision.

Pakistan slip to 35/6 in 9.1 overs as they look in danger of being bundled out for a low total.

India's bowlers have been all over Pakistan, taking six wickets for 12 runs from the last 30 balls.

Just a single from the over as Pakistan are reeling on 36/6 in 10 overs at the halfway mark.

The wickets continue to tumble for Pakistan.

Leg-spinner Prema Rawat misses a chance to get the wicket of Sana, missing a sharp chance on her follow through.

This is reckless batting by Pakistan as they slip further to 35/5 in nine overs.

Left-arm spinner Shree Charani also strikes in her first over. Feroza falls for a four-ball duck, caught off a leading edge at point.

She attempted a rash shot, going down the track to hit Charani over the leg side but was beaten by the turn getting the leading edge.

Charani strikes a few balls later. Zulfiqar misses the sweep shot and is caught in front to be given out leg before for 14.

Ali jumps down the track and attempts to slog Nandani but gets a thick inside edge for one.

Zulfigar also looks to slog the pacer and ends up getting the inside edge which goes fine on the leg side for a four.

Singles off the last two balls as Pakistan's openers swing hard but are unable to break free.

First bowling change for India as part-time spinner Shafali Verma comes into the attack.

Another dropped catch by the Indians. The left-hander lofts Shafali down the ground as Pratika Rawal puts down another easy catch. She comes in a long way misjudging the flight on the ball and looks to backtrack but fails to get to the ball which goes over her for a four.

Shafali gets the batter off the very next ball. Left-hander Ali makes room and looks to cut but misses and is bowled for 13.

Gull Feroza keeps out the last three balls to end a superb first over from Shafali. She made the opening breakthrough and the only run conceded in the over was off a missed chance by Rawal, which went for a four.

She finally gets off the mark from the last ball of the over, giving Nandani the charge to loft the slower ball over mid-on for a four -- the first boundary of Pakistan's innings.

In the next over, Ali goes for a big heave against Gaud but ends up skying it high. Pratika Rawal has enough time to judge the high catch in the covers but she ends up spilling the simple chance.

Zulfiqar looking to attack the bowlers in the Powerplay. Once again the right-hander goes aerial, lofting Gaud over the fielder at mid-off for a four.

Pakistan elect to bat vs India

Seamer Kranti Gaud will open the bowling for India, while Muneeba Ali and Shawaal Zulfiqar open the batting for Pakistan.

Gaud starts with a wide as Pakistan get off the mark. The next ball is on length and swings away as left-hander Ali pokes and is beaten on the outside edge.

Ali hits the next two balls to the fielders before playing a nice free-flowing drive through the covers for three runs.

Zulfiqar keeps out the last two balls as Gaud makes a tidy start, conceding just four runs in the opening over.

India, who have already qualified for the semi-finals, have retained the same playing XI. Pratika Rawal will look for a big knock to get back among the runs, while captain Harmanpreet will also be keen to spend some time in the middle.

Pakistan women elect to bat vs India

Pakistan captain Fatima Sana has won the toss and elected to bat against India in the Women's Asia Cup match in Dubai on Saturday.

Both India and Pakistan have fielded unchanged playing XIs.

'We will bat first because we want to post a maximum total. We have a good bowling attack and we will look to restrict them,' said Sana at the toss.

A memorable outing for India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur is featuring in her 150th T20 International as the captain -- the first player to achieve the feat in the history of cricket.

India women aim to continue winning run vs Pakistan

Having already made the semi-finals, a far superior India will be expected to step up the intensity against traditional foes Pakistan in their final league game of the Women's Asia Cup in Dubai on Saturday.

Men or women, routinely scheduled Indo-Pak fixtures in multi-team events have not lived up to the off-field hype for a while now. Nothing different is expected when the two teams meet at the Dubai International Stadium with overwhelming title favourites India expected to steamroll Pakistan.

Ahead of the game, both India openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma looked at the top of their game. Mandhana broke a battery of records against Hong Kong en route a memorable hundred to fire out a warning for the other teams in the competition.

The pitches in Dubai have not been the easiest to bat on. The batters usually take about 10 balls or so to assess the pace of the surface and accordingly plan their innings. This is exactly what both Mandhana and Shafali did on Thursday night.

The likes of Pratika Rawal, Richa Ghosh and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur will look to spend more time in the middle, having not been able to convert starts. Pressure is mounting on new number three Rawal, who has not been able to meet the demands of the T20 game, having found plenty of success in the ODI format.

The addition of Nandani Sharma in the pace attack is a step in the right direction as she is delivering on her promise while opening the bowling alongside spearhead Kranti Gaud.

Pakistan, on the other hand, need drastic improvement in their batting to competing with India. The shortcomings in the batting department have let the team down for a number of years. Even in their last game against Thailand, Pakistan found themselves under pressure in the powerplay with the loss of three wickets.

However, they managed to defend a lowly 119 against a less-established side. The team over-relies on opener Muneeba Ali and bowling all-rounder Fatima Sana who is also the captain of the side. That will need to change if Pakistan are to challenge their mighty rivals.
