Mumbai Indians lost another wicket but kept the scoreboard moving through the middle overs, with Will Jacks joining Tilak Varma at the crease.
In the 13th over, Jacks looked solid in defence before surviving a couple of testing deliveries. He ended the over on a high, finishing with a well-timed boundary as MI collected 12 runs despite losing a wicket, reaching 114 for 4.
Suyash Sharma continued the attack in the next over, but MI responded well. Tilak struck a clean six to keep the momentum going, while Jacks rotated strike smartly. MI added 11 runs in the 14th over, moving to 125 for 4.
Josh Hazlewood was brought back into the attack and immediately tested both batters with disciplined bowling. Tilak survived a missed scoop attempt but quickly regrouped, finding gaps for singles. Jacks also worked hard with smart running, including a couple of well-placed shots for twos.
MI continued to chip away with singles and small partnerships, adding 6 runs in the 15th over to reach 131 for 4, steadily building towards the death overs.
