Royal Challengers Bengaluru slipped further in their chase as Deepak Chahar produced a fiery spell with the new ball.
Chahar kept shaping the ball away from the left-hander, consistently beating the outside edge of Devdutt Padikkal and building pressure with a string of dot balls. An LBW shout went unanswered, but the swing was clearly causing trouble.
Just when Padikkal tried to break free, he launched a huge six to release the pressure. However, Chahar struck back immediately, finding the edge on the very next phase of play, with the keeper completing a clean take to send Padikkal back for 12 off 11.
RCB ended the over at 24 for 2 after 3 overs, with MI firmly on top thanks to Chahar's early impact.
