Debutant Kristian Clarke is introduced into the attack. Abhishek steps out and lofts the ball towards deep point for a couple, then flicks the next delivery for a single. Suryakumar Yadav is beaten first up and just manages to duck under a sharp bouncer. He responds in style, though, as the next ball races away to the boundary. Clarke keeps the final delivery low, producing a dot to end the over. Seven runs come from it, and after four overs India are 38 for 2.
Kyle Jamieson continues from the other end. Abhishek plants his front foot and unleashes a low swipe across his knee, absolutely belting the leg-cutter straight down the ground. He then evades a bouncer, with the umpire calling a wide. A jab towards midwicket brings a single, SKY defends solidly before driving to deep point for another run. Abhishek then slams one over midwicket for a six, bringing up India's fifty in emphatic fashion. He is dealing largely in sixes, this his third of the innings.
A single to end the over makes it 16 off it, and after five overs India are 54 for 2.
