Sri Lanka 36-4 (9 ovs) v New Zealand 168-7 | SCORECARD

Santner continues after the drinks break. Rathnayake cuts the second ball to the fielder at point, who fails to stop the ball to concede a single.

Mendis slaps the last ball through the covers for one and Rathnayake cuts the last ball to deep point but they settle for just a single.

More spin as leggie Ish Sodhi comes into the attack -- for his first bowl in the World Cup.

Rachin Ravindra comes into the attack. He strikes first ball with the wicket of Mendis, who is stumped after a struggling knock of 11 from 22 balls.

Mendis, who is struggling with his hamstring, jumps down the track but fails to get to the pitch and is beaten all ends up by the sharp turn with wicketkeeper Seifert completing an easy stumping.

Pavan Rathnayake falls in the same fashion two balls later. He also charges down the track but is done in by a flighted delivery which turns big from the wide line as Seifert whips off the bails again.

Sri Lanka slip to 29/4 in the ninth over.

Kamindu Mendis top edges the sweep which goes for a four followed by a wide and he gets a single from the last ball.
