Lucknow Super Giants skipper Rishabh Pant has won the toss and has opted to field against Rajasthan Royals in their IPL 2026 match in Lucknow.

Pant said: "We are looking to bowl first. You know we have been playing in this conditions and still figuring out. Last few games have been challenging and as players we are looking to find ways. Just a subtle change. We have two changes. He is the player, who has shown so much trust."

Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag said: "I actually told my boys that I want to lose the toss. I'm happy we lost the toss. I think we batted pretty well, we made some miscalculations in the middle overs. The message is that we have to play good cricket for 40 overs. We are playing the same team."

RR keen to return to winning ways

Hello and welcome to the coverage of the Indian Premier League 2026 match No. 32 between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

The form of the middle order, particularly that of skipper Riyan Parag, will be a key concern as the Royals look to arrest a slide after back-to-back defeats when they take on a struggling LSG.

Parag's performance under scrutiny

As for Parag, a surprise choice as their skipper after Sanju Samon's exit, has endured a pathetic run with the bat, registering three single-digit scores in six innings with a highest of just 20 so far.

However, despite the setbacks, RR appear a stronger unit than LSG, who are languishing in ninth place after three consecutive losses.

LSG bowlers will need early breakthroughs to stay competitive.

However, that may not be easy as LSG's bowling attack is reeling after being taken apart by Punjab Kings.

The Lucknow batting unit, too, looks unsettled and they are still trying to figure out their best XI.

The decision to promote Ayush Badoni to open alongside Mitchell Marsh did not yield results.

Nicholas Pooran's poor form has further compounded their problems.

For LSG to turn things around, their batting and bowling have to fire collectively.
