SRH begin steadily, reaching 6-0 after the first over.

Travis Head showed intent right away, slashing the first ball towards covers, but Badoni's diving stop saved a boundary. He then crunched one to mid-on for no run before hammering a full delivery straight over the bowler's head for four. Thakur followed up with two full tosses-one carved straight to point and the other nudged for a single.

Abhishek Sharma opened his account with a single to end the over.
