A flighted delivery and Faf tries to hit it out of the park. He mistimes it and holes out to Miller who completes an excellent catch. 8 runs and wicket in that Bishnoi over.

Stubbs and Ashutosh rotate the strike. A good length ball and Ashutosh goes on his backfoot and punches it but the ball takes an outside edge and flies past the keeper for a boundary. Six runs off the over.

He struggles to pick Mohit's slower balls and score only 2 runs off the first four balls. But Miller finishes the LSG innings on a high, hitting two back-to-back sixes, both off-cutters hoisted over mid-wicket.

Miller takes LSG past 200. Will it be enough?

LSG might have fancied a 250-plus score when Marsh and Pooran were in the middle. Their stand of 87 had set up the platform for DC, but their middle-order failed to capitalise on the flying start. Only Miller showed some resistance with 19-ball 27.

Starc is back with his final over. Shahbaz and Miller take two singles off the first two balls. Shahbaz hits a length ball with all his might and fetches a boundary through deep mid wicket.

And he is out in the next ball. Starc bangs in a bouncer and Shahbaz tries to pull unconvincingly and top edges it to square leg. Vipraj Nigam takes the catch.

Ravi Bishnoi joins Miller in the middle and he lasts only two balls as Starc cleans him up with a beauty with his last ball of the night.

Thakur drives the googly and tries to steal a single. But Axar Patel is quick to pick and throw it to the keeper. LSG lose their sixth.

Pant lofts it to long off but the ball flies off the bottom of his bat. Faf takes an easy catch at long off.

David Miller replaces him and takes a single through square leg. Excellent over by Kuldeep as he concedes only a single and picks the key wicket of Pant.

Starc is back. Pooran makes the maximum of a full toss and reverse scoops it. Keeper Abishek Porel gets a hand on it but the ball flies to the boundary.

Pooran is out! bowled by Starc. The West Indian slogs but misses and is clean bowled.

Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel has won the toss and elected to bowl against Lucknow Super Giants in Visakhapatnam on Monday.

Axar reasons that there could be dew later on which has made him opt to bowl first.

Welcome to the coverage of the Indian Premier League 2025 match No. 4 between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

DC and LSG, who narrowly missed out on the playoffs last season, will be keen to begin the new season on a winning note.

One of the highlights of Mondays encounter at Visakhapatnam, the temporary home ground of DC, will be the face-off between Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul as both will be representing their former franchises.

DC will take the pitch under new skipper Axar Patel. Rahul, who led LSG for a couple of seasons, will be their wicketkeeper-batter. DCs top order has some of the proven IPL stars including vice-captain Faf du Plessis and Jake Fraser-McGurk, while LSGs top order features some of the most explosive batters in the world like Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran, David Miller, and of course Pant.

DC also have a strong bowling line-up with the likes of Mitchell Starc, Mohit Sharma, T Natarajan, and Kuldeep Yadav. In comparison, LSGs bowling attack is a little weak, at least on paper, following injuries to key pacers Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan, and Avesh Khan.

They have met five times in the IPL so far, with LSG leading by a 3-2 margin.

In the 2022 edition, LSG won both home-and-away fixtures, winning by six wickets and six runs respectively. In the 2033 edition, they met only once, with LSG winning the tie by 50 runs.

In 2024, DC won both matches, by 6 wickets and 19 runs respectively.

When these two sides met, the highest score has been 208, registered by DC. LSG's highest score against DC is 195. The lowest score is 143 by DC, while LSG's lowest is 167.

As both teams will be looking to gain early momentum in the grueling league, the clash between DC and LSG promises to be a mouthwatering high-scoring contest.
