England 403-7 (88 ovs) vs India 471 | Scorecard

England are now 83 runs short of India's total. Brook and Woakes have put on 39 runs from as many balls for the seventh wicket with the latter scoring just one from 15 balls.

Brook has led the charge for England. He has scored 29 from 23 balls since the second new ball was taken to give the hosts the momentum.

A long injury back as the physio tends to Pant as the umpires call for drinks.

Bumrah drifts on the pads as Woakes clips it through square leg for two runs before he drives a full delivery past mid-off for a boundary.

He gets the last ball into the gap past point for a couple of runs.

Prasidh back into the attack as he replaces Siraj. Brook slaps the first ball square on the off-side for a couple of runs to move to 99.

He nearly throws it away as he goes after a full outswinger which narrowly misses the outside edge.

But he falls next ball. Brook takes on the short ball from Prasidh but gets the top edge and is caught at fine leg by Thakur.

Brook walks back disappointed for 99 as the home crowd at Headingley give him a loud cheer.

England are reduced to 398/7 -- trailing India by 73 runs.

Brydon Carse looks to defend but gets a thick outside edge which falls just short of second slip. He slaps the next to thirdman for a single to get off the mark.

Woakes is a capable lower order batter as he proves with a crisp on-drive off Prasidh for a boundary past mid-on to take England past 400.
