England get to 433 for 4 at tea on Day 3 of the  4th Test at Old Trafford on Thursday.

They lead by 75 runs after Root scored his 38th Test century.

England score 101 runs in the second session for the loss of 2 wickets.

Root also completed a milestone in that session, becoming the 2nd highest run-getter in Tests.

Stokes and Root have put on an unbeaten 87 run partnership after losing Ollie Pope and Harry Brook early after lunch.

India face fresh injury concerns with Bumrah and later Siraj struggling in the field.

Thakur continues and Root plays the first five balls watchfully before ending the over with a single.

Kamboj is back in the attack and Stokes reaches out and pulls it to deep mid-wicket for a couple.

Stokes then plays the ball through cover for a single.

Root then guides the ball to third man for a single to go past Ricky Ponting to become the 2nd highest run getter in Tests (13379 runs), only behind Sachin Tendulkar.

Three dots to end the over as 4 runs come off it.
