Ryan Rickelton made a well-paced hundred to guide South Africa to a healthy 315 for six against Afghanistan in their Champions Trophy Group B match in Karachi on Friday.
Rickelton (103, 106b, 7x4, 1x6) received splendid support from skipper Temba Bavuma, Rassie van der Dussen and Aiden Markram, who all made fifties.
Veteran spinner Mohammed Nabi grabbed two wickets for the Afghans.
Wicketkeeper batter Heinrich Klaasen missed the match due to a left elbow injury.
Farooqui continues and after a dot, Markram digs out the yorker to take a single to extra cover.

Wiaan Mulder is the new man in and after two dots he is off the mark with a single to backward point.
Markram ends the over with a single to long off to bring up his half-ton.
Jansen is the new man in as Omarzai is back in the attack.
Markram starts the over with a single before Jansen is bowled first ball as he looks to take a big swipe but the ball goes through the gap and hits his leg stump. He is out for a golden duck.
Farooqui continues, he bowls a slower one, wide of the off stump and Markram slaps it over extra cover for a four.
The next one is in the slot and slower and Markram creams it over mid-off for another four.
A low full toss next, Farooqui clears his leg and hammers it down to long on for another four.
Markram then takes a single to bring up the 50-run stand.
Miller then digs out the yorker before he is out next ball, he goes for carve over cover pooint but Rahmat Shah dives sideways to pluck out a good catch on the boundary. Miller out for 14 off 18. 13 runs and a wicket come off it.
Noor Ahmed continues and after a dot, Miller takes a single to backward square leg.
Full and wide next and Miller hits it over extra cover for a four!
The next ball is on the middle and fuller. This is lofted over the long on fence for another biggie.
Markram then sweeps it to fine leg for a single and a dot to end the over as 12 come off it.
