PBKS 245-6 (20 ovs) vs SRH | Scorecard

Punjab Kings' in-form skipper Shreyas Iyer slammed a fine half-century while Marcus Stoinis provided late fireworks to steer the side to a huge 245 for six against Sunrisers Hyderabad in an IPL match in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Electing to bat, PBKS openers Priyansh Arya (36 off 13 balls) and Prabhsimran Singh (42 off 23) added 66 runs quickly before Iyer (82 off 36 balls) carried on the good work along with Nehal Wadhera (27).

Iyer smashed six boundaries and an equal number of sixes before he was dismissed by pacer Harshal Patel (4/42).

Patel emerged as the most successful SRH bowler, while Sri Lankan right-arm quick Eshan Malinga (2/45), who came in place of Kamindu Mendis, took two wickets.

Stonis and Jansen stay unbeaten as the former clobbers Shami for four sixes in the last over as Punjab put up 245 for 6 in their 20 overs.

Stoinis is the new man in and he takes a single.

Iyer is out next ball as he is caught at cover for a 36-ball 82.

Harshal back in the attack and he removes Maxwell bowled out for 3.

Malinga is back in the attack and he starts with a slower one that is full and Iyer just thumps it over extra cover for a four!

Iyer and Malinga then take a single each off the next two balls.

Iyer then clips the full ball fine to fine leg for a four.

Iyer swipes the next full ball again wide of fine leg for another four.

Next ball is in Iyer's arc and he clobbers it over sweeper cover for a third four as  18 come off it.
