Mahendra Singh Dhoni becomes the oldest uncapped player to be retained in the IPL.
Dhoni was retained by CSK for Rs 4 crore as an uncapped player after the rules were changed earlier this year, according to which if a player has retired from international cricket for five years then he can be retained as an uncapped player.
Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad is the top retention for CSK at Rs 18 crore the same as all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, while SL pacer Matheesha Pathirana was retained for Rs 13 crore.
All-rounder Shivam Dube stayed back for Rs 12 crore as CSK retained as many as five players.
