Naman Dhir, with a base price of Rs 30 lakh, steps up next. Having played for MI last season, they waste no time in bidding for him. RCB quickly join the fray, and the two teams engage in a fierce bidding war that pushes the price past Rs 1 crore.

RCB eventually bow out, but DC enter the contest and raise the bid to Rs 1.50 crore. MI refuse to back down, and the competition intensifies. DC hold the bid at Rs 1.90 crore, but MI respond immediately, taking it to Rs 2 crore. RR jump in at Rs 2.20 crore, and MI counter with Rs 2.40 crore. The bids continue to climb as RR take the lead at Rs 2.60 crore, only for PBKS to raise it to Rs 2.80 crore.

RR press on at Rs 3 crore and finally secure Dhir at Rs 3.40 crore. However, MI exercise their RTM card at Rs 5.25 crore, reclaiming Naman Dhir for Rs 5.25 crore.
