Chasing just 147 for victory, India's batting line-up surrendered tamely. Pant, who stroked 64, was the only Indian batter to score above the 20-run mark.

They were blanked 2-0 in a two-Test series at home by South Africa in 2000.

'This is the greatest moment in the history of New Zealand cricket,' declares Simon Doull on commentary.

This is India's worst performance in a Test series at home in a series comprising three or more matches!

India's senior players Rohit, Kohli and Ashwin were big disappointments, while young guns Sarfaraz, Gill and Jaiswal also struggled for consistency.

Ajaz is quite interested. He manages to plead his captain Tom Latham to take the review even though the impact was way outside the line.

No shot played but the ball is missing the off-stump by a big margin. A really poor review from New Zealand, who have no reviews left.

Phillips pitching it up as Ashwin getting well forward to get to the pitch to defend.

Ashwin gets lucky as the ball deflects off the back of the bat and hit the stumps but the bails stay intact. Ashwin defends Phillips off the front foot as the ball hits the arm and rolls on to the stumps off the back of the bat.

Ashwin reacts quickly but can't swat the ball which slowly strikes the stumps but the bails are unmoved.

He looks to defend the next ball off the front foot but it turns sharply off the rough and goes off the pads to the slip fielder. New Zealand quite interested but the umpire is unmoved before they take the DRS.

A clear gap between bat and ball and there is nothing on the UltraEdge as the Kiwis lose their review.

That was a good delivery, flight and turning into Pant, who was dragged forward to defend.

Pant superb with his placement as he sweeps the spinner with the turn in the gap at deep square leg for another four.

He steps out and is forced to defend as the ball bounces sharply and turns. The Kiwis take the review yet again for a catch off the gloves. They have take a big gamble as this is their third and final review.

There is a clear spike when the ball passes the bat. Could be this because of the bat hitting the pads?

The TV umpire rules it out as he believes that it has come off the inside edge.

Pant can't believe the decision as he makes the slow walk back. He is pleading with the on-field umpires that the bat hitting the pads created the spike on the UltraEdge.

The entire Wankhede is stunned as Pant makes his way back after a superb counter-attacking knock of 64 from 57 balls, with nine fours and a six.

Ajaz continues his love affair with Wankhede as he picks up his fifth wicket of the innings.

He pulls the next ball square on the leg side to bring up his fifty from 48 balls, having hit seven fours and a six.

What a sensational knock under pressure from Pant. He seems to be batting on a completely different pitch and has been finding the boundaries quite reguarly.

While the other batters have fallen trying rash shots, Pant's shot selection has been impeccable.
