Change of ends for Bumrah as he takes over from Mukesh from the Dr Vizzy End.

The first ball is on the pads as Anderson misses the flick but manages to collect a leg bye to get Hartley back on strike.

Bumrah finishes off the match as he cleans up Hartley for 36.

England are bowled out for 292 in 69.2 innings to lose by 106 runs as India level the five-match series at 1-1.

Bumrah, who took six wickets in the first innings, finishes with 3/46 in the second innings, while Ashwin bagged 3/72.

India have bounced back in great style after losing the first game. The victory was not so easy as England never their foot off the pedal and played positively through the match.

India were hit hard by injuries as they played without K L Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja, while Virat Kohli was unavailable due to personal reason but they showed spirit to clinch victory.

Bumrah gets the ball to reverse sharply into Bashir, who is struck on the pads. The umpire turns down the appeal and India, who have just one review, decide against the review.

The slower ball goes horribly wrong for Bumrah as it pitches way outside and the pacer has also overstepped to concede a no-ball and an extra run.

10 minutes left for lunch as Mukesh continues. He gets his first wicket of the match as Bashir is caught behind for a duck.

That ball moved away this time as Bashir pushes his bat at it and gets the edge to be caught behind.

Mukesh is delighted. He had gone through lot so far in this game and now gets some reward for a fine spell with the old ball.

India just one wicket away from levelling the series!

Left-hander James Anderson pokes away from his body and is beaten and the same next ball.

He drives the last ball straight down the ground past long-on for a four to get off the mark.

Ashwin back from the other end. Hartley takes a single off the first ball before Anderson tries the reverse sweep but can't beat point.

Some flight from Ashwin on the line of stumps as Anderson defends watchfully. 

He gets a glove trying to reverse sweep as the ball goes over Rohit at slip for a single. Hartley cuts the last ball in the gap past point for a boundary as the field is called up to stop the single.

Mukesh has struggled to make an impact in both innings. He bowls a wayward delivery, way down the leg side to Hartley to concede four byes.

He has a huge appeal for caught behind turned down as Hartley is beaten slashing at the short wide delivery.

Wicketkeeper Bharat up in appeal immediately and he manages to convince Rohit to take the review.

There is a clear gap between bat and ball when the ball passes the bat as India lose their second review.

Hartley plays and misses again off the next ball, poking at one outside the off-stump before he is beaten off the next two balls to make it three in a row.

Ashwin still looking for his 500th Test wicket. Foakes drives the first ball to long-on for a single and Hartley sweeps the next, which is down the leg side, fine for a boundary.

He drives the next ball straight to Ashwin, who fails to gather it and ends up conceding a single and Foakes takes one off the next.

Hartley attempts the reverse sweep but the ball goes off the arm and Rohit takes a diving catch behind the wicketkeeper.

The umpire has ruled it out and Hartley quickly takes the review.

The ball has missed the gloves and gone off the arm, while the leg before wicket is also checked but even that goes in the batter's favour.

Interestingly, the leg before wicket stays with the umpire's call. But since the umpire has given it out caught behind and not leg before the review has gone England's way.

The wait continues for Ashwin's 500.

Change in the bowling as Mukesh Kumar comes into the attack. Hartley takes a single from the first ball to raise the 50-run stand from 63 balls for the eighth wicket.

Mukesh getting the ball to reverse into Foakes, targetting the stumps trying to get the right-hander leg before or hoping one hits the crack and stays low.

The full delivery stays low but a watchful Foakes keeps it out and he takes one off the last ball to retain strike.

With Mukesh getting some reverse, Bumrah is back from the other end. Foakes slashes his bat at a wide delivery only to get the edge which flies past the slips for a four.

Bumrah gets his man a few balls later. Foakes miscues the slower ball back to the bowler to be caught behind for 36.

Superb bowling from Bumrah as he completely foxes Foakes with the slower ball and does well to hold on to the catch on his follow through.

India just two wickets away from a series-levelling victory!

Ashwin bowls a beauty! He gets the flighted delivery to turn sharply to beat Hartley's bat before he picks a single on the leg side.

In the next over, Hartley gets the under edge as he tries to cut Kuldeep as the ball goes on the bounce past the slip fielder for a four and he takes one off the last ball.

England are not going down without a fight as the pairing of Foakes and Hartley continue to search for runs and keep their team's hopes alive.

Hartley gets an edge off Kuldeep which bounces well short of Rohit at slips and goes through for a four.

England are 138 runs behind and if Hartley-Foakes bring the target down under 300, then they could stay in the hunt.

At the drinks break, England are 245/7 in 58 overs, still needing another 154 runs for victory.

Foakes is playing a good hand of 26 from 47 balls, while Hartley is on 11.

The spinner gets the last ball to turn sharply and also bounce to beat the left-hander on the outside edge.

Foakes on the attack as he slog sweeps Kuldeep over midwicket for a six as England continue their attacking approach.

Stokes comes down the track but Ashwin adjusts his line forcing the left-hander to defend into the off-side. The fielder hits the stumps with the direct hit which deflects into the leg side for a single.

In the next over, Stokes inside edges Kuldeep on the leg side for a single and Foakes carefully defends the rest of the over.

Stokes misses the sweep off Ashwin as the ball goes fine off the pads for three leg byes.

Foakes taps Ashwin into the leg side for a quick single but Iyer quick to get to the ball and hits the stumps with a direct hit as Stokes is caught short of his crease to be run out for 11.

Stokes guilty of taking it too easy as Iyer does well to hit the stumps with a direct hit from square leg.

Foakes plays away from his body looking to drive Bumrah as he gets the thick outside edge past the gully for a four.

He plays and misses again next ball as Foakes looks to defend from the crease and keeps out the last three balls.

Stokes has been quite watchful so far. He blocks the first five balls from Kuldeep before he punches the last ball to sweeper cover where Axar lets the ball go through for a four.

A near carbon copy of Stokes' dismissal in the first innings as Bumrah beats the left-hander getting the ball to swing in sharply and also stay a bit low.

Stokes clips the fourth ball for a single and again Foakes does his job to keep out the rest of the over.

Slightly short from Kuldeep as Stokes swats it through midwicket for two runs and he cuts the fourth ball straight into substitute fielder Sarfaraz Khan at silly point, who is struck on the leg.

Stokes is struck on the pads as the ball stays low but the leg before shout is turned down. India confident but they decide against the review as the ball looks to be going down.

The last ball is short but doesn't bounce off the pitch as Stokes toe ends the pull shot back on to the pitch.

Bumrah targetting the pads, bowling it full and on the stumps but Foakes up to the task as he flicks it through midwicket for a four to get off the mark.

He takes a single before Stokes is beaten outside the off-stump as Bumrah gets some extra bounce.

Bumrah starts off with the ball to finish the over which was left incomplete after Bairstow's wicket fell at the stroke of lunch.

New Ben Foakes keeps out the last two balls to end the over from Bumrah.

Kuldeep Yadav continues from the other end. Stokes at his watchful best as he blocks the first two balls and then takes a single on the leg side.

Foakes is beaten as he tries to defend before he keeps out the last two balls.

Bumrah strikes with another crucial wicket at the stroke of lunch!

Bairstow is given out leg before wicket as he misses the length ball which swings in sharply and is given out LBW before he takes the review.

The ball has struck in line and going on to clip the leg stump as the decision stays with umpire's call.

That is the fifth wicket of the session for India as England slip to 194/6 in 42.4 overs at the lunch break.

Ben Stokes is yet to face a ball as he goes back for lunch with England still needing another 205 runs for victory.

England scored 127 runs in 28.4 overs in the session but India took control by picking up five wickets.

Ashwin tore through the England batting order with wonderful figures of 3/42 while Axar, Bumrah and Kuldeep picked one wicket apiece.

A break for Ashwin as Bumrah comes back into the attack. Bairstow defends the first three balls before he drives the fourth ball through the covers for a four.

The last ball is full and wide and this Bairstow square drives it through the off-side for another boundary.

Double bowling change for India as Kuldeep Yadav finally gets the ball in the morning session after waiting for nearly two hours for his chance.

Crawley fails to read Kuldeep's googly which turns the other way as he is beaten trying to drive. He sweeps the fourth ball to deep square leg for a single and Bairstow takes one off the next.

The last ball spins sharply into right-hander Crawley and Kuldeep is quite confident but the umpire is not.

Rohit takes the review but he doesn't seem that convinced.

Crawley missed the flick and was struck in line of the leg and middle stump. Infact, the ball tracker shows that the ball is going straight on to hit the leg stump as the decision is overturned.

Kuldeep delivers in his very first over of the day as he gets the big wicket of dangerman Crawley, who is trapped leg before wicket for 73.

That was unbelievable! Rohit was not at all convinced but K S Bharat and Kuldeep made him take the review and what a gamble it turned out to be.

Crawley releases the pressure as he drives the full delivery from Ashwin straight down the ground for a four.

He takes a single down to long-on and Bairstow cuts the fifth ball through the off-side for another boundary.

Axar has settled into a good rhythm as Rohit continues to hold back Kuldeep.

India are 184/4 in 40 overs, needing another 215 runs for victory.

Crawley is waging a lone battle as India chip away at the wickets from the other end.

He blocks the first four balls from Ashwin before taking a single off the fifth on the off-side.

In the next over, Crawley is beaten trying to cut as Ashwin gets some extra bounce from round the wicket.

He looks to flick Ashwin through midwicket but the ball turns as he gets an inside edge on to the pads.

Axar continues as Bairstow plays a beautiful drive through the covers for a four before the spinners gets one to turn sharply and beat the right-hander.

He pushes the last ball in the gap past point for a couple of runs.

He is struck on the pads next ball as Axar appeals for leg before but the umpire is not convinced.

But Axar manages to convince his captain Rohit to take the review.

The ball has skidded straight on to strike Root on the stumps. The point of impact of ball hitting the pads is umpire's call but the ball is going to hit the stumps.

Ashwin from round the wicket. Crawley pushes the spinner into the off-side and attempts a quick single but Bharat quick off the blocks stops the batters from running across.

He punches the fifth ball off the backfoot to sweeper cover for a single.

Still no Kuldeep Yadav yet on Day 4 as Axar continues. Crawley taps the second ball into the off-side for a single and Pope whips the spinner in the gap wide of long-on for a four and then takes a single.

Ashwin strikes with the key wicket of Pope, who gets the edge and is caught by Rohit at slip for 23.

Ashwin gets the first ball to go straight through from round the wicket. Pope trying to cut gets the edge and Rohit does well to react quickly and stick his left hand out and complete a superb catch.

Joe Root also doesn't waste time as he reverse sweeps the first ball he faces, from Ashwin, for a boundary.

He tries the same shot but this time the top edges goes over Rohit at slip for a four.

Crawley hits fifty to boost England

Crawley taps the first ball on the off-side for a single and Pope uses his feet to flick the spinner through midwicket for two runs.

Pope is beaten trying to reverse sweep as Ashwin gets some extra bounce. India confident that there was an edge but the umpire is unmoved. Infact, it looks like the noise came off the bat hitting the pitch as Rohit decides against the review.

Crawley comes down the track and lofts Axar over mid-off for a four to complete his fifty in grand style from 83 balls.

He pushes the third ball wide of the fielder at mid-off for a single and Pope sweeps Axar behind square on the leg side for a four.

Axar fires it in but drifts down the leg side as Pope glances it past short fine leg for another boundary.

England have batted positively scoring 58 from 12 overs bowled so far on Day 4.

Bumrah continues as Crawley clips the first ball off his pads for two runs to bring up England's 100, in the 23rd over as they score at nearly 4.5 per over.

Bumrah gets the back of length delivery to swing into Crawley, who flicks it comfortably in the gap through midwicket for a four.

The last ball stays low as Crawley pushes away from his body and is beaten.

In the next over, Pope brings out the reverse sweep hitting it fine past short thirdman for a four.

Some sharp turn for Axar as Rehan playing on the backfoot gets the edge which flies past Rohit at slip for a boundary.

Axar gets the next ball to skid in straight with the arm as Rehan again goes back to defend.

He gets his man a few balls later. Rehan goes back and across to work Axar on the leg side but misses the flick and is struck plumb in front.

Rehan walks off without thinking of the review after a good hand of 23 from 31 balls.

Ollie Pope plays a fine shot to get off the mark as he drives the overpitched delivery from Axar through the covers for a four, to bring the target down to 300.

England off to good start on Day 4

Bumrah will bowl to Rehan this time around after bowling the first two overs to Crawley.

The first ball goes off the outside half  along the ground as Shreyas Iyer at gully dives to his left to save some runs.

Rehan is beaten on the outside edge as he plays away from his body before the next ball swings in sharply to strike him high on the pads.

Bumrah swings the next away to beat the right-hander who pokes at it without any footwork and keeps out the last ball with caution.

Axar continues as Crawley uses his feet to drive the second ball to mid-off placed a bit deep for a quick single and Rehan cuts the next but can't find the gap and blocks the last three balls.

England are 83/1 in 20 overs, needing another 316 runs for victory.

Bumrah starts his new over with a full delivery slanted way down the leg side to Crawley for four byes as wicketkeeper Bharat is unable to get to it.

Two balls later, Crawley plays a cracking straight drive off a full delivery past mid-off for a four.

Two balls later, Bumrah gets one to kick off viciously from length as Crawley is beaten again trying to defend.

Bumrah goes slightly fuller and wide and this time Crawley plays a cracking drive through the covers for a boundary.

Rehan steps out and swings Axar through the leg side as he gets it off the inside half wide of the fielder at mid-on for a four.

The next ball is driven through the off-side for another boundary followed by a single and Crawley keeps out the rest of the over.

Jasprit Bumrah starts off with the ball for India on Day 4. The first ball is pitched back of length as Crawley defends it on the off-side and offers no shot to the next and does the same to the third ball.

Crawley avoids the rest of the over as Bumrah begins the day with a maiden over.

Left-arm spinner Axar Patel from the other end. Rehan Ahmed shows intent rightaway as he tries to loft the first ball but mistimes it on the bounce to mid-on.

He punches the third ball into the off-side for a single for the first run of the day.

Crawley drives the next straight back past the bowler for one.

Rehan has a big swing but this time inside edges it on to his pads and watchfully defends the last ball.

England's highest successful run chase is 378/3 which came against India at Edgbaston in June 2022, while their highest successful run chase in India is 208/4 which came way back in December 1972.

The highest successful run chase in India was achieved by the hosts when they chased down a huge 387 for victory against England in December 2008.

India push for victory on Day 4

Welcome to the coverage of Day 4 of the second Test between India and England in Visakhapatnam on Monday.

India will be pushing for a series-levelling victory on the fourth day after setting England a daunting 399-run target.

England made a quick start in the run chase as they raced to 67/1 in 14 overs at close on the third day.

Zak Crawley stroked his way to 29 as he played a few aggressive strokes against the spinners, while Rehan Ahmed, who was sent as the night-watchman, made nine.

Ben Duckett was the only wicket to call, caught by K S Bharat off Ravichandran Ashwin for a quickfire 28.

On Day 3, Shubman Gill finally got back among the runs as he smashed a crucial hundred to power India in their second innings. 

Gill overcame a jittery start to smash 104 in India's second innings total of 255 before the home side folded, leaving England to bat out 14 overs in fading light.

James Anderson, England's lone seamer in the match, jolted India with a two-wicket burst after the hosts resumed on 28 for no loss.

Anderson struck in the second over of the day with a delivery that curled around Rohit Sharma's (13) back to uproot his off-stump.

The seamer dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal (17) in his next over when the opener played a loose drive and Root took the catch in the slip.

Gill was adjudged lbw to Tom Hartley (4/77) early in his knock but the batter reviewed the decision, which was overturned after replays revealed a faint edge.

He was still on four when Anderson rapped him on the pad but England's lbw appeal was turned down.

Gill and Shreyas Iyer (29) threatened to bat England out of the match before two stunning catches dragged the tourists back into the contest.

Ben Stokes sprinted backwards towards long off and hurled himself full length to grab a catch to dismiss Iyer.

Ben Foakes then pouched a sharp, low catch behind the stumps after Rajat Patidar (nine) had inside-edged Ahmed (3/88).

Gill took a single off spinner Shoaib Bashir to bring up his third Test hundred.
