India 82-4 (23 ovs) vs Aus | Scorecard

India are collapsing in the morning session. Boland gets Gill leg before wicket as he misses the flick off a full incoming delivery.

Gill has a chat with partner Pant, who advices him not take the DRS, as he makes his way back for 31.

India have lost three wickets for 13 runs in the space of 15 balls to find themselves reeling on 81/4.

India were well-placed on 69/1 before Starc triggered the turnaround with his two-wicket burst.

A big responsibility on captain Rohit, who walks in to bat at No 6 -- a position where he last batted six years ago.

He leaves the first three balls he faces from Boland, before clipping the pacer to fine leg for a single to get off the mark.

Starc to bowl the final over of the session. Rohit carefully defends the first ball before he blocks the next on the leg side followed by another block.

He nearly falls in the trap as Starc tempts him with the full delivery swinging away. Rohit goes for the cover drive but is beaten on the outside edge and is lucky not to have edged it.

The last ball bounces quite a lot and swings away as Rohit is beaten again trying to defend.

India go into the lunch break on Day 1 on 82/4 in 23 overs, with Pant on four and Rohit on 1.
