Royals take on Challengers

Hello & welcome to the live coverage of another Sunday blockbuster of the ongoing Indian Premier League season. With the race for the playoffs heating up, we have two crucial fixtures headed our way today.

To kick off the day's proceedings, Rajasthan Royals will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the second match of the day, it'll be a clash of former champions, with Chennai Super Kings taking on Kolkata Knight Riders.

In the 'Royal' encounter of the day, Rajasthan will host Challengers at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. While a win will be an absolute necessity for both sides tonight, Sanju Samson-led Royals will hope to avenge their previous loss this season at the hands of the Faf du Plessis-led Challengers.

While Royals, having played one more game than RCB, are placed fifth on the points table with 12 points, RCB are placed seventh with ten points from 11 games. Sanju Samson's side began the season on a romping note, but they've found it tough to get wins under the belt in the past few weeks with the inaugural champions slipping out of the top four.

Meanwhile, RCB, still looking for their inaugural title, are dealing with a familiar problem. Their over-dependancy on the top three has once again put them in a precarious position. A win and nothing less will be on their minds when the two teams clash off in a hot afternoon contest in Jaipur.
