IPL player draft: Pune pick Dhoni; Rajkot snap Raina, Jadeja

So the Rajkot roster now comprises: Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Brendon McCullum, James Faulkner, Dwayne Bravo

And Pune have MS Dhoni, Ajinkya Rahane, R Ashwin, Steven Smith and Faf du Plessis.

So they now have Brendon McCullum, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja and Faulkner. 

Pune have so far secured the services of MS Dhoni, R Ashwin, Ajinkya Rahane, Steven Smith and Faf du Plessis.

So we have Raina and Jadeja in the same team again but not one which has their captain.

For the record he played for Pune Warriors before it was disbanded.

The Indian limited overs captain is expectedly the first player sought, and bought, by New Rising. 

The new franchise has doled out INR 12.5 crores from the full purse of 66 crores to secure his services.

Suresh Raina will play for Rajkot.

New Zealand captain and Dhoni's one-time Chennai colleague Brendon McCullum has been snapped by Rajkot.

It is imperative here to mention that Sanjeev Goenka's New Rising, that won the bid for the Pune franchise while Intex won the bid for Rajkot after a reverse bidding process in Delhi on December 8, have replaced the suspended teams Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals for the next two editions to in 2016 and 2017.

Pune will be given the choice of picking the players first.
