Bangalore buy Kaif for $130,000

Former India left-spinner Murali Kartik, who was unsold in the first round, was snapped up by Sahara Pune Warriors for $400,000 fetching him double his base price.

Royal Challengers Bangalore made the last purchase of the auction when Mohammad Kaif was signed up for $130,000, the third time he came up for sale.

ittle known Australian all-rounder Daniel Christian was the top pick on day two when he was purchased by Deccan Chargers for $900,000 after starting with a base price of $55,000.

Pacer Umesh Yadav also got a good deal when he was snapped up by Delhi Daredevils for $750,000. Munaf Patel was another big buy on the day when he was bought by Mumbai Indians for $700,000 for seven times his base price, while Venugopal Rao was also sold for the same price to Delhi Dardevils in another shocking move.

South African all-rounder Juan Theron was purchased by Deccan Chargers for $85,000, while Delhi Daredevils got Australian Travis Birth for $20,000 the same amount that Royal Challengers Bangalore paid for South African Jonathan Vandiar.

Kings XI Punjab opened their account on the second day by bagging former England all-rounder Dmitri Mascarenhas at his base price of $100,000. They then made another shocking purchase by getting little known Queensland fast bowler Nathan Rimmington for his base price of $20,000.

Delhi Daredevils also paid the same price to secure the services of New Zealand batsman Colin Ingram for $100,000, while Deccan Chargers got former Rajasthan Royals player Michael Lumb for $80,000.

Mumbai Indians also added another all-rounder to their side with the purchase of Australian Moises Henriques for $50,000, who had earlier played for Kolkata Knight Riders. The Sachin Tendulkar-led side also bagged South Australian batsman Aiden Blizzard for his base price of $20,000.

Meanwhile, Indian discards Wasim Jaffer and VRV Singh did not find any takers yet again after starting with a base price of $100,000.

A total of 28 unsold players went under the hammer again after the ten franchisees submitted their choice from the original list of 238 unsold players from the regular auction round that spanned over two days.
