Kolkata sign up Unadkat for $250,000

Royal Challengers Bangalore beat off stiff competition from Chennai Super Kings to snap up Abhinav Mithun for $260,000 against his base price of $100,000.

Chennai Super Kings went aggressively for the fast bowlers as they retained Sudeep Tyagi for $240,000 and Joginder Sharma for $150,000, while they also got Sri Lanka's Nuwan Kulasekara for $100,000.

India's young pacer Jaidev Unadkat, starting with a modest base price of $50,000, was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for five times his base price at $250,000.

Manpreet Singh Gony, who was part of Chennai Super Kings, was snapped up by Deccan Chargers for $290,000 a big jump on his base price of $50,000.

Sahara Pune Warriors made their first purchase of the day when they got South Africa's 21-year-old all-rounder Wayne Parnell for $160,000.

Australian pacer Ben Hilfenhaus was purchased by Chennai Super Kings for his base price of $100,000, but fellow countryman Peter Siddle found no takers.

South African Juan Theron, who played for Kings XI Punjab last season, was also not taken by any of the franchises.

West Indies' pacer Kemar Roach, New Zealand's Tim Southee, Sri Lankans Thilan Thushara and Chaminda Vaas were unsold.
