Welcome to Rediff.com's coverage of the second day of the 2010 Indian Premier League Players' Auction, in Bangalore, on Sunday.
After a hectic first day, which saw the ten franchises shell out a cumulative hammer price $52.8 million for 72 players.
At the start of day two, the franchisees will have a remaining cumulative salary cap of $19.5 million. This is to be used in the auction room and to sign uncapped players after the auction.
18 Indian players remain available for sale in the auction on day two, and the franchisees have the possibility of taking upto total of 53 overseas players.
