The historic city of Dambulla is likely to host the first two One-day internationals between India and Sri Lanka on January 28 and 30.
The Indian team, expected to arrive in Colombo on January 24, is likely to play first two matches -- day fixtures -- in Dambulla, which is 150 kms from the capital city and known for its cave temples and a sprawling lake, Sri Lankan Cricket officials said.
Both Indian and Sri Lankan cricket teams will then return to Colombo to play three day-night ODIs followed by one Twenty20 match.
The third ODI is likely to be played on February 2, the sources said adding the fourth and fifth one-dayers and the Twenty20 will be played after providing one or two days gap subsequently.
Meanwhile, The Island newspaper has alleged that Sri Lankan Cricket authorities have agreed to all conditions by the BCCI.
"Sri Lanka Cricket has been sold to India for a period of 10 years for a grand sum of US$ 45 million," the newspaper said in an article on Wednesday.
"At a time when various cricket boards in the world and the International Cricket Council are showing concern on the way the cash rich Indian Board is trying to manipulate cricket, SLC has become the latest pawn to fall prey to the Board of Control for Cricket in India," it said.
"The deal was confirmed at the Sri Lanka Cricket headquarters yesterday in the presence of N Srinivasan, the Secretary of the BCCI, Gamini Lokuge, the Minister of Sports and Duleep Mendis, the CEO of SLC," it said.
"We have finalised a 10-year agreement with India today," Lokuge told the media on Tuesday.
"Hereby, we agree to release our players to the Indian Premier League for the next 10 years, we support the Indian Board on the ICL issue and we have strengthened our relationships with the Indian Board," the Minister had said.
