Laxman Sivaramakrishnan sporting India's first ever coloured kit that was used by the team for the World Series tournament in Australia in 1985.

The veteran leggie said the 1985 team was one of the best fielding teams India has produced and it set a pattern for the teams after that.
"[Captain] Sunil Gavaskar told us that fielding and training are compulsory while batting and bowling are optional, so that is why I think we were so good in the field in that tournament," Sivaramakrishnan said.
