The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Tuesday asserted that the Indian government has provided 'satisfying' security arrangements for the forthcoming Australian series hence there is need for any change in any venue or schedule of the four-Test series.

This means that the third Test, to begin in New Delhi from October 29, will not shifted to some other venue.

A three-member BCCI delegation on Tuesday met the Home Ministry officials to discuss the security arrangements.

Some Australian players had expressed concerns over playing in the national capital after the recent serial blasts, that claimed many lives.

"We met the officials to discuss the security during the series. We put forth our views. The series is on and there is no change in the venue or the schedule.

"We are satisfied by the security arrangement provided by the government. They have committed full co-operation to us," Rajiv Shukla, chairman of the BCCI Finance Committee, told reporters after the 20-minute meeting.

Along with Shukla, president of the Punjab Cricket Association I S Bindra and BCCI Chief Administrative Officer Ratnakar Shetty were also present at the meeting with Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta and other officials.
